Kappa the anus eating monster.

As water monsters, kappa have been frequently blamed for drownings, and are often said to try to lure people to the water and pull them in with their great skill at wrestling. They are sometimes said to take their victims for the purpose of drinking their blood, eating their livers or gaining power by taking their shirikodama (尻子玉?), a mythical ball said to contain their soul which is located inside the anus

this is frightening because one day you may very well poop out your soul

Looks like the shit has hit the fan.

These guys are supposed to also be disguised, so you’ll never really know when you’re interacting with actual kappa before it’s too late.

The easiest way to defeat kappa, however, is to simply bow as a means of formal greeting.  Kappa must follow Japanese etiquette (most likely because they must try to keep their disguise and not appear rude), and in doing so, the water collected on their head will drain out and will result in their death.

Plus, you’re bending with your ass facing away from them.
