This has happened on nurmerous occassions at multiple retail locations where I have worked. I’ve never understood why customers bother to apologize when they intend on staying forever. It’s this whole entire cast system of consumer vs. the sales person. Because we’re working we must have no life other than to serve them. And their purchase is oh so important.

And why tempt me with the phrase “I’ll be quick?” I know you’re not, and I always have to respond with the same customer service oriented attitude, like “Oh no, it’s fine, don’t worry about it, let me know if I can get you anything.” 

This actually happened to our night crew manager once, and it was with one of the most annoying customers ever.
